Ash Trees are usually medium to large trees.  Most Shed their leaves, but a few in subtropical areas stay evergreen.  IT is found in old English documents that this wood was commonly sued to make spears.   Ash is a long-fibered, light-colored hardwood with a tight grain similar to  Birch or Maple. It is good for bending, takes stain well and is used mainly for chairs and stools or fine furniture.
