Bubinga
BUBINGA Wood is a rare wood from West Africa. It is reddish in color and used most often for decrotive pieces, cabinets, and knife handles. Bubinga wood can be an amazingly wavy-figured exotic wood, sought by guitar makers and small box builders alike.
The bubinga tree can grow to heights of up to 100' and 3' in diameter and grows mostly in parts of West Africa, Cameroon and surrounding nations. With trees this large they can produce quite wide and long lumber. It is often referred to as an African rosewood, although technically NOT from the rosewood family.
Most of our furniture can be made in this exotic wood species. Please call or email us regarding your furniture made in Bubinga wood. There is a substantial up charge for this and other exotic wood species. Please be sure to contact us regarding availability and demand of each wood.
